Players take on the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth's last safe city as they wield a power called Light to protect the City from different alien races. ![]() PvP features objective-based modes, as well as traditional deathmatch game modes. A free roam patrol mode is also available for each destination which feature public events. In addition to normal story missions, PvE features three-player " strikes" and six-player raids. Activities in Destiny are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. Set in a " mythic science fiction" world, the game features a multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games. Destiny marked Bungie's first new console franchise since the Halo series, and it was the first game in a ten-year agreement between Bungie and Activision. It was released worldwide on September 9, 2014, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles. Destiny is now self-published by Bungie after separating from Activision in 2019. Seriously, there’s a ton! Most are from The Taken King or later, however, and not the base game.Destiny is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and previously published by Activision. As such, they have the most armor sets to show out of the artists we’re featuring. Ian McIntosh is currently a Senior Character Artist at Bungie. So go check those out if you’re interested! That means they’re at way higher resolutions and look much better than the game engine itself can handle. Their ArtStation profile is full of high quality renders of armor sets before they’re put into the game. Mike Jensen is also a Principle Artist at Polyarc. They’ve worked on a handful of original armor sets and enemy designs from Destiny 1. James Yavorsky is currently a Principle Artist at Polyarc.
